Volkswagen Will Debut The 2024 Atlas And Atlas Cross Sport At The Chicago Auto Show

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and 2024 Atlas Cross Sport models will be unveiled at the 2024 Chicago Auto Show. The 2024 Atlas models will include advanced technology, an upgraded interior, and a more efficient powertrain. The 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross vehicles receive major upgrades for the 2024 year models. The SUVs include premium materials, mainly in the dashboard and center console where soft-touch synthetic leather upholstery is visible. The cabin lighting inside the 2024 Atlas and 2024 Atlas Cross Sport offers 30 color options that perfectly match the backlit dashboard décor, allowing buyers with various customization options. 

“The refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport continue to build on that success, with a sleek new interior and sophisticated turbocharged engine that enhances both performance and the driving experience,” said Pablo Di Si, president, and CEO of Volkswagen of America. 

The 2024 Atlas and 2024 Atlas Cross Sport boasts new comfort features such as a heated paddle shifter-equipped steering wheel, ventilated front seats. That’s not all, standard adjustable passenger seats that feature Climatronic automatic climate control and voice control with memorization features. The center console received a redesign and now has an increased storage cubby in its lower portion. All 2024 Atlas trims include a 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro and a 12-inch floating infotainment display that stands out in the newly redesigned cabin. 

The new IQ.DRIVE driver-assist technology available on the 2024 Atlas and 2024 Atlas Cross Sport features standard semi-automatic practicality capability. Drivers on the highway can use the available IQ.DRIVE system that offers lane-centering and a capacitive steering wheel to help drivers feel safe while commuting. On the exterior both 2024 Atlas SUVs feature a wide four-bar chrome grille framed by LED headlamps featuring a new front-end lighting system. The headlights on both models in all trims except the base trim are wrapped with daytime running lights (DRL) that extend to an illuminated light bar above the Volkswagen logo that is also illuminated, giving both vehicles an unmistakable design. 

In addition Volkswagen includes a much larger roof overhang on both models to lengthen the overall roofline on both vehicles, giving a more elegant appearance to the side profile. All Atlas family models will be uniquely equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. All Atlas Trims will feature the same engine, Volkswagen has hinted at a future eclectic hybrid trim. Ready to join the Volkswagen family?
