Volkswagen presented a new inspiring and accessible vision focused on dialogue and barrier-free mobility at the IAA Mobility at Odeonsplatz, located in the heart of Munich. Under the motto #One Future, Volkswagen presents a new urban discovery platform in the Open Space. Under the slogan #OneFuture Volkswagen will bring the entire product range to life, including a new concept car and its lineup of all-electric vehicles including the ID.4, ID.5, and ID.7. The automaker had a big surprise in store for those attending IAA Mobility, granting exclusive access to a wide range of plug-in hybrid vehicles, including the new Passat and the next-generation Tiguan. Beyond the wide range of products to be presented at the IAA Mobility event, Volkswagen discussed a wide range of topics such as product issues, social issues, and mobility issues will be addressed.
“People have individual skills, needs, and visions. Despite all these differences, we still have one thing in common: the future. It is up to us to shape this future. This is Volkswagen’s central message at IAA Mobility. “It is a message that we have summarized under the hashtag #OneFuture,” announced Imelda Labbé, Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Brand responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales.
The new Volkswagen stand concept provides new ideas, serves as a topic of conversation, and will attract the attention of visitors. The IAA Mobility venue consists of two single-story halls with a transparent appearance, visible from all sides due to several partitions and walls on the outside, which were replaced by wood and glass, giving the venue a more pleasant ambiance. Open Space started on September 5Â and will end on September 10, a showcase for vehicles and technologies, as it will be responsible for presenting a wide range of event formats such as the #OneFuture Talks featuring four living room concerts, talent marketing, product talks promoting “Volkswagen Up Close”, the Drivers Club Talk, and community love stories with “My Volkswagen Moment” as the central theme.
The IAA Mobility at Odeonsplatz will feature barrier-free communicative contact points, to access these contact points visitors will have a guidance system available on the floor. In the stage area, visitors have acoustic instruments at their disposal that can be used as hearing aids. A large number of styles have been added for the vehicles on display, which will have QR codes that can be used to view written information in an easy-to-access manner. Each exhibit will have features that facilitate inclusive access, such as the integration of sustainable interior materials and tires so that visitors can touch and feel them. The design of the open space was built through collaboration between the German Federation of the Blind, the hearing-impaired community, and the representative body of Volkswagen’s severely disabled employees.
