The 2025 Volkswagen ID.7 Offers a Relaxing Journey

Volkswagen has long strived to offer the best and latest technology available. Travel comfort has been a key goal in the development of the ID.7. The ID.7 will be Volkswagen’s first electric vehicle in the mid-sized segment, and offers the new available ergoActive premium seats. The ergoActive seats have been certified by the German Campaign for Healthier Backs (AGR). The seats include automatic air conditioning, innovative massage programmed, and an advanced function for muscle groups in the pelvic regions and spine. Volkswagen worked in collaboration with orthopedic specialists, physiotherapists, and sports scientists.
The ergoActive seats measure the temperature and moisture levels of passengers and automatically adjust to create a perfect climate. The message program in the seats is controlled by 10 air cushions on the backrest and two on the seat cushion that work alternately with specific massage functions. Specific programs selections last between 10 and 30 minutes and allows passengers to customize to their needs. The seats also offer a 12-way seat adjustment and manual two-way depth adjustment to help find the optimal position. The ergoActive seats come included in the optional interior plus package.
“Lifting up the sit bones tilts the pelvis. This then produces a slight rotation of the spine, which is additionally supported by the air cushions in the back. These small movements extend all the way up to the cervical spine. They prevent tension from building up and can even increase concentration.” said Ulrich Kuhnt, consultant to AGR and Chair of the German Association of Back Schools
The ergoActive premium seats offer much more, such as dynamic air conditioning. This feature controls the seat cushion and backrest separately. Now passengers will be able to choose what part of the seat they would like ventilated or heated, three smart climate options are available including warm, dry, and cool. The moisture and temperature levels are measured in the zone between the passenger and seat, the information is then used to calculate the optimal climate. To control the settings passengers can use the buttons directly on the seat.
The 2025 Volkswagen ID.7 will be equipped with a single electric motor pushing power through the rear wheels. The single motor will generate 282 horsepower and will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds. The ID.7 will feature a large 15.0-inch infotainment display where drivers can access settings, media, and more. Volkswagen is taking the market by storm with its all-electric lineup, soon the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Microbus will roll into dealerships.
