2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz to Make an Appearance at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Volkswagen of America shares the exciting news about the long-awaited three-row ID.Buzz, making a grand debut at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, taking place during Monterey Car Week. The three-row ID. Buzz was unveiled in Huntington Beach, California, in June this year. The unveiling marked a very representative milestone in the automotive industry and returned one of the greatest automotive icons ever seen, the VW Microbus, to the new era of electric mobility. The stage is now set to welcome the three-row electric ID.Buzz, which will take the Microbus into a sustainable era for decades to come.
The 2024 ID.Buzz will be on display as part of Volkswagen Group of America’s sponsorship of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Microbus was designed especially for North America and had a grand display on the upper lawn of The Lodge at Pebble Beach from Saturday, August 19, through Sunday afternoon, August 20. The addition of the all-new ID.Buzz to Volkswagen’s lineup expands its IDFamily and now features its largest electric vehicle. The 2024 ID.Buzz features two configurations, including the cargo configuration and the short wheelbase, both of which are already available in Europe. In the North American market, the long-wheelbase model will go on sale in 2024.
The 2024 ID.Buzz has unique features but retains some features identical to the original microbus or the “Groovy bus”, such as the rear-mounted engine as standard, helping the vehicle to have better traction, performance, and agility. The engine allows the ID.Buzz to achieve up to 282 horsepower. What sets the ID.Buzz apart from the original microbus is its high power output and of course its 91 kWh battery. The three-row model features a unique and efficient skateboard design, with the battery mounted on the floor, providing not only a space-saving design but also contributes to the vehicle’s weight being perfectly even.
The 2024 ID.Buzz features the large illuminated VW logo on the front grille and also features one on the back of the vehicle. The 2024 Id.Buzz features three new color palettes including Buzz-Energic Orange, Grapefruit Yellow, and Mahi Green. The t ID. Buzz represents the culmination of many years of innovation and evolution, combining the best of the past with the great technology of the present.
