Volkswagen has great news for all their fans by announcing the ID. Buzz will be part of the “Building an Electric Future” exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, which also has a non-profit charitable organization called the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation. The “Building an Electric Future” exhibit had its grand debut in 2019 and is being held to celebrate Volkswagen’s great history both domestically and globally, bringing the design and construction of tomorrow’s vehicles to the public at large. Now let’s talk a little more about the ID. Buzz and the big showcase event.

Volkswagen has recently integrated the new all-electric ID. Buzz, the all-electric model, is predestined to go on sale at the end of 2022 in Europe. The automaker plans for the debut of a long-wheelbase model to make a debut in the North American market next year and go on sale in 2024.The design of the new ID. Buzz is inspired by the design of one of the greatest icons in the industry, the T1 Microbus, bringing its magnificent design to the world of electric mobility. The ID. Buzz has short overhangs, the interior is quite spacious, and features a color palette consisting of two shades that reference and pay homage to the past.  The interior of the ID. Buzz features high-tech characteristics such as progressive and sustainable design features, and thanks to EV technology Buzz is identified as a vehicle of the future.

The “Building an Electric Future” exhibit features the “Driving Toward Tomorrow” exhibit series featuring what the automotive world of tomorrow has in store for the future of transportation design, as well as a preview of actual concept vehicles being produced by a selection of global automakers. “Building an electric future” is an exhibition in the five different rooms where you can see how the design of Volkswagen’s modular electric propulsion matrix, or MEB platform, was realized, the design of the variety of models that are being planned, the highly flexible nature of the platform and the way in how the vehicles will be assembled. Visitors will be able to observe the hard work and challenges involved in the manufacturing of these new cars, and visitors will be able to explore and experience what the driving of the future will be like.  In the last room of this great exhibition, each participant will be able to observe the integration of the new Volkswagen ID with European specifications. Buzz gives a close look at the automaker’s new reinvention of the large minibus. This major exhibition shows Volkswagen’s breakthrough into the mobility of the future through the use of vehicles, design models, and videos created specifically for this exhibition.
