Volkswagen has exciting news for all of its fans! The German automaker has started sales in Europe of the new 2023 ID. Buzz. The ID.Buzz reflects the new electric era, the ID.Buzz sets out to create a new template based on the past. The ID. Buzz isnt a new idea, the model is based off the groovy microbus of the 80’s. Volkswagen will offer two trims, the first trim is the ID.Buzz Cargo van and the second trim is the ID. Buzz MPV. The microbus is packed with state-of-the-art technology and customizable seats making the microbus perfect for families, active people, and companies.

The ID. Buzz has quite a few unique features an aerodynamic body which has narrow overhangs. Under the hood the ID.Buzz carries a 150 kW electric motor that’s capable of producing 201 horsepower. The microbus has a 77 kWh battery that helps lower its center of gravity and reduces roll minimization because the battery is integrated deep in the vehicle’s floor. The vehicle’s weight is distributed in the center of the vehicle for neutral handling.

The ID.Buzz features a new driver assistance system which includes a Travel Assist system with swarm data utilization, lane change assist, Park Assist Plus. Park Assist Plus uses a memory function that helps the vehicle automatically maneuver into a home or parking spaces. The 2023 Volkswagen Buzz models leaving the factory will feature the most recent software version 3.2, which is capable of updating over-the-air. By using over-the-air up the ID.Buzz will be capable of receiving new upgrades to the infotainment system or vehicle performance.

“The ID. Buzz appeals to all kinds of different customers: families, people who need a lot of space for their hobbies, as well as business owners and manual trades,” announced Thomas Schäfer, member of the board of management of Volkswagen AG and head of the high-volume brands group.

The interior design of the ID. Buzz features two individual seats in the front of the vehicle, the automaker does offer available captains chairs for the van. In the back of the van buyers can find a three-seater bench which is split 40:60 which creates more legroom or luggage space. Volkswagen plans to make the ID.Buzz into a self-driving taxi service, a self-driving ambulance, and eventually move into helping the workforce deliver goods with no need of a driver. Volkswagen partners up with Argo AI self-driving system to create routes for its autonomous vehicles. Volkswagen is planning to dominate the electric era, interested in finding out more about the 2023 Volkswagen ID.Buzz?
