The engine is routed to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with front-wheel drive for the SE trim and all-wheel drive for SEL and SEL Premium trims. The 2022 Arteon has outstanding fuel economy yielding 24 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Volkswagen provides drivers peace of mind thanks to their IQ.DRIVE technology, available in the 2022 Arteon. 

The IQ.DRIVE system supplies a wide array of ADAS features, which include: emergency assist, adaptive cruise control, active blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic alert, intelligent crash response, automatic post-collision braking, front assist, travel-assist, lane assist, and a rear-view camera. The roomy interior of the 2022 Arteon comfortably seats five passengers and has superior cabin space and legroom when compared to most other mid-size sedans. The 2022 Volkswagen Arteon has a large trunk that allows for extended cargo space thanks to the folding rear seats. 

The 2022 Arteon offers the available Harman Kardon premium audio system with twelve speakers placed throughout the interior cabin that provide passengers with an immersive surround sound experience. The sedan’s infotainment system is fitted with an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.
