Volkswagen’s Legendary GTI Meeting To Take Place in Wolfsburg

The legendary worldwide GTI Meeting will come back once again at the home of the brand in Wolfsburg from July 26 – 28, 2024. The fan meetup had been held since 1982, the meeting moved from Lake Wörthersee to the Mittellandkanal venue for 2024. Next summer fans will meet under the motto “Coming Home – Reloaded”. The meeting will take place in the vicinity of the VFL Wolfsburg stadium and organized by Autostadt. Vehicle presentations, club meets, stage shows, and other activities will be held for GTI enthusiasts. Volkswagen’s GTI has long been an iconic vehicle across the world, the GTI letters have stood for sportiness, emotions and dynamics.
The iconic GTI will soon move into the electric era, Volkswagen released a ID. GTI concept that will take the iconic vehicle into the next generations. The GTI concept has kept its same dynamic appearance and will continue to provide more performance. The GTI concept will use the ID.2 as a basis with a front-wheel-drive layout. Just like the ID.2, the GTI concept will stick around for quite some time, the ID. GTI will also share the MEB structure. Almost half a century and fans continue to grow all over the world, since the first meeting back in 1982 fans gather every year to celebrate the one of a kind GTI.
The current 2023 Volkswagen GTI model is an iconic model for the brand, in its eighth-generation GTI perfectly combines function and aesthetics. The 2023 GTI is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The 2023 GTi has an impressive 0-60 mph time of 5.1 seconds thanks to its revised suspension system and electronically controlled limited-slip differential. A modular MQB architecture allows the eighth-generation Golf GTI to achieve even sportier proportions. Fans are excited to see unique builds and one of a kind GTI’s at the meeting.
