Volkswagen Unveils The 2023 ID.6 Electric SUV

Volkswagen has finally unveiled its all-new 2023 ID.6 fully electric SUV, although it’s only been confirmed for the Chinese market as of now. Although it’s highly likely There is a high likelihood that the Volkswagen ID.6 will make it to the United States at some point with the demand for electric vehicles so high. for now, potential buyers and fans will have to wait. What we know is the ID.6 will be larger than the ID.4, about the size of the 2021 Atlas, coming with three rows for space up to seven passengers. Base trims will come in rear-wheel drive standard, and Volkswagen will most likely offer a dual-motor all-wheel-drive trim at some point this year. The Volkswagen Chinese market has received two different models including the ID.6 Crozz and ID.6 X. 

What Will Power The 2023 Volkswagen ID.6

The 2023 ID.6 is offered in four different trim levels in China, the largest trim having enough space for seven passengers. Volkswagen has two different battery options including a 58 kWh battery and an available upgrade to a 77 kWh battery. The 2023 ID.6 is claimed to have a 270-mile range on the 55 kWh battery and a 365-mile range with the upgraded 77 kWh battery, giving the ID.6 its competitive edge in its SUV segment. Like all the rest of the ID family, the ID.6 shares the same MEB platform, a platform created specifically for Volkswagen’s future electric vehicles. The ID.6 will be the biggest electric vehicle in the ID family, with a length of 192 inches, 11.8 inches more than the ID.4. Volkswagen continues to make charging easy for its buyers with three available options including a 120-volt household plug, a 240-volt appliance plug, and a DC fast charger which offers the quickest charge at 80% in just 30 min.

The 2023 ID.6 interior borrows a few details from the ID.3 and ID.4, such as keeping buttons down to a minimum, and instead drivers will control everything through a 12-inch central display. The same 12-inch infotainment touchscreen will allow drivers to control every last command in the vehicle. Volkswagen’s “Hello ID” voice-control system will be available and will help maintain drivers connected to their ID.6. The 2023 ID.6 will come with the latest in Driver Assist Safety Features, and standard with the Volkswagen Car-Net app. The Volkswagen Car-Net app allows drivers with remote access Emergency Assistance, remote battery charge, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and more.
