Volkswagen Continues Support for the “Flashes of Memory” Exhibition

Volkswagen welcomes all of its employees and trainees for visits and talks about the “Flashes of Memory” exhibition. The exhibition presents photography during the Holocaust at the Museum für Fotografie in Berlin. The exhibition will be available until January 28, 2024, the Volkswagen group has also invited students from the Carl Hahn School in Wolfsburg to travel to Berlin and visit the exhibition. The Volkswagen Group is the education partner of the exhibition which had taken Yad Vashem to Germany for the first time.

The exhibit has visual records with photographs and films showing the living conditions in Jewish ghettos, deportations of Jewish people, and the liberation of concentration camps. Guests also have a chance to meet Dieter Landenberger, Volkswagen’s Head of Heritage. Landenberger will discuss the need to continue to fight racism, antisemitism, and discrimination. All of the collection belongs to the World Holocaust Remembrance Center Yad Vashem. Volkswagen has continued its support for the exhibition and plans to help spread awareness on different topics. 

Volkswagen’s role as education partner allows the broker to support the development and implementation of  ‘Ask Me!’ And ‘Close Up!’. The ‘Ask Me!’ format invites visitors on Thursdays afternoons, Friday afternoons and weekend afternoons to address guides with all questions regarding the featured visual records. ‘Close Up!’ format is once a month and allows visitors of the exhibition to meet researchers and scientists who share views on special topics included in public talks. Additionally both events are available free of cost.
