The new 2021 Volkswagen Atlas offers a refreshed seven-seater that comes with a new bold design and facelift. Assembled in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Atlas combines driving dynamics and attention to detail to keep all seven passengers comfortable. With the latest in driver assistance technology, Volkswagen offers eight different trims for the 2021 model year and two options when it comes to engines. Top of line trims offers 4Motion all-wheel-drive, new technology, and interior upgrades.

What To Expect From The Atlas Trims
The Atlas has served as the Volkswagen family-friendly largest SUV for sale in the United States, offering eight different trim levels, including S, SE, SE with Technology, SE with Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium, and SEL Premium R-Line. The Atlas is powered by a direct-injection, 2.0L Turbo 4V TFSI R4 engine delivering 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. An available upgrade to a 3.6-liter VR6 FSI engine that produces 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of instant torque is available. Both these engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission. Having eight speeds helps both performance and efficiency, in Tiptronic mode, the Atlas relinquishes control to the driver allowing it to manually shift through all eight gears. The Atlas also provides engines that are powerful enough to tow up to 2,000 pounds for any type of adventure or trip.
Keeping Safety In Mind
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas has a family-friendly interior space, highlighting new technology features such as the CarNet telematics system which is a mobile app that gives buyers command of their car at a click of a button. Allowing buyers to use features like Remote Commands, Family Guardian Alerts, DriveView, Parking info, VW Car-Net Safe&Secure, and VW Car-Net Hotspot. Making it easier for owners to get where they need to by using the available IQ.DRIVE featuring hands-on semi-autonomous capability designed to help navigate the road ahead.
The Atlas offers the latest technology in safety features with Driver Assistance, available Area view assists drivers with an overhead camera view, Dynamic Road Sign Display keeps drivers informed with traffic signs, speed limits, warning signs, speed warning, and even includes restricted traffic zone warning. Available Park Distance Control with Maneuver Braking equipped with sensors that help drivers back out or drive into a parking spot, keeping the family safe by applying emergency braking force automatically to help prevent any type of collision.
